Their debut concert last fall at Ovations was a knock-out. People have been asking for a return engagement. So, the Titans of Jazz - trumpeters Kit Reid and Dennis Dotson, saxophonist John Torres, pianist Bob Henschen, bassist Mike Trevino and drummer Robert Ceballos - some of the best jazz players in the city, will take the stage again for a night of exciting straight ahead jazz. Celebrate the season with a fresh and inventive take on Vince Guaraldi's beloved A Charlie Brown Christmas!

Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, the dynamic piano trio Mr. Chair brings their signature blend of jazz fusion and classical imagination to Houston for the first time. Their performance will feature a reimagined Charlie Brown Christmas alongside a vibrant set of original compositions.

Renowned for their bold artistry, Mr. Chair has captivated audiences nationwide with stunning reworkings of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, Stravinsky's Pu/cine/la, and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Following their acclaimed appearance at Chicago's historic Ravinia Festival, they now make their Houston debut at Ovations Night Club.

Tatiana Eva-Marie - Paris Je Taime!

Tatiana Eva-Marie is a transatlantic bandleader, singer, and actress, born in Switzerland to a musical family, based in Brooklyn. Her mother is a classical violinist of Romani heritage and her dad is a musician and film composer.

Tatiana lived in Paris from the age of 15 where she fell in love with the music and the city of Paris and earned her living singing on the streets of the city.

Her interests have led her to explore a wide range of musical styles, from 1930s pop to modern jazz. Tatiana Eva-Marie's singing is always inspired by her own French and Balkan heritage; a love for the Parisian art scene era spanning the 1920s to the 60s; a passion for Gypsy music; and a deep connection to the Great American Songbook.

Tatiana's passion for the swirl of music that has thoroughly permeated the city of Paris, and for the city itself, is the focus of Paris Je Taime!

Jazz vocalist Emi Takada returns to Houston to perform a live show with Bob Henschen Trio

Born and raised in Japan, Emi began singing at age ten and in 2010, discovered jazz in New York. While living in Houston, she performed regularly with pianist Bob Henschen and other prominent musicians. In 2017, she moved back to Japan, but visits and performs frequently in NYC and Houston.

The Joe Slezak B-3 Band

Come enjoy the Joe Slezak B-3 Band as they present the rhythmic sound and energy of the Hammond organ. Featuring vocalist Sheri Lavo, this quintet displays the style of music made famous by jazz greats such as Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff, Shirley Scott and Ernestine Anderson while presenting a few surprises along the way.
